The Comarbois group is venturing into the industry.

The Comarbois group, a leading wood importer in Morocco for several decades, is preparing to diversify into the industry with a new large-scale project. In partnership with the Lahlou family, they plan to establish a wooden pallet manufacturing unit, representing an investment of nearly 100 million dirhams. This initiative is supported by the Omnium Panafricain de Bois company, established in 2021.

A strategic establishment in Taroudant

The future industrial unit will be located in Ouled Taima, in the province of Taroudant. This strategic location will allow Comarbois to primarily target the agro-business market, especially in the Souss Massa region. This region is home to a significant portion of Morocco's tomato production, creating a high demand for wooden pallets. Agadir has been chosen as the site for this first industrial venture of the Hotelin Group, which controls Comarbois.

Competition and challenges to overcome

Omnium Panafricain de Bois will have to face well-established players in the wooden pallet manufacturing sector, such as PGS Maroc, which produces 5,000 pallets daily, and Mafibra, with its three production units across the country. The competition will be tough, but Comarbois relies on its solid experience and reputation to stand out in the market.

The success of Comarbois in the wood market

Comarbois Group boasts an annual turnover exceeding 700 million dirhams, positioning it as the market leader ahead of its main competitors, Robelbois and Cema Bois de l'Atlas. With over 200 employees and an extensive presence through its 10 commercial agencies spread across Morocco, Comarbois enjoys a strong reputation and recognized expertise in the wood sector.

A step towards diversification and growth

This new initiative of expansion in the industry demonstrates Comarbois' strategic vision, aiming to diversify its activities while capitalizing on its expertise in the field of wood. With this new wood pallet manufacturing unit, the group strengthens its position as a leader in the Moroccan market and opens up new growth opportunities.

This is a major milestone for Comarbois and the development of Taroudant.
